New York – Hamburg integrationXchange:
An International Network of Local Practitioners Serving Immigrant Communities
integrationXchange is designed for professionals and volunteers who work in organizations or public agencies/institutions that represent and/or serve immigrant communities.
In workshops and through on-site professional training in New York and Hamburg participants will examine local strategies implemented to integrate immigrants in their communities and societies. Special focus will be placed on the development of skills that are needed to confront the local challenges and questions facing immigrant practitioners as they work within the constraints of local, state and federal policies and the realities of daily life in the communities.
Our two-year project, which will start in April 2007 and conclude in October 2008, will engage 60 practitioners from New York City and Hamburg in two program cycles.
Unfortunately, the application deadline for the 2008 program cycle has passed. Our jury members are currently reviewing the applications.
