Product Description Why is Money… a) The thing that most of us worry about the most, and b) The thing that you understand and were educated in school about the least? Why do otherwise educated people tragically say: "I really do not understand Economics"? In ‘Secrets About Money That Put You At Risk’ Michael McKay clearly and concisely presents the basics of this vital knowledge that we should have learned in school but were never taught. This is an ABC book for Adults, as well as for Young People, on “What is Money and How it Works”. It will teach you The Basic Things about Money and Wealth You Must Know and Probably Do Not. As reviewer David Gordon stated, "Michael McKay has described in a compelling fashion essential truths about money which everyone needs to know. Once you read this book, money will no longer seem mysterious."

I want to protect my assets from future economic chaos March 30, 2010 D. Constable (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Loved the book because it exposed me to the basic truths about money I had not considered. It cleared my head about the true value of the paper money I have relied on for security. The book is very easy to read and I recommend it for anyone who is concerned about their financial future.
Everything my school teachers should have taught me about money, but didn't. April 4, 2010 Lost Republic 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I thought it very elegantly and clearly explained important things about money I didn't fully realize. Very important concepts are made clear in this little book: Legal Tender Laws, Inflation, Fiat Money, Fractional Reserve Banking, the important conceptual difference between Wealth and Value and more.
Sensical and Wise April 6, 2010 Arnold Schantz 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I enjoyed reading this book and the information it offered.
It is true that the majority of "educated" people are ignorant about money
and what it really is. This book is a good introduction for those seeking a better understanding of money, wealth, and how our economy works.
I liked the fact that it was straightforward and to the point and kept my interest.
I now have a lot more interest in money and how the economy works and am eager to learn more.
Very informative. A must read for all! April 1, 2010 M. J. Reiter (Michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book should be mandatory reading for high school students, college students and all adults. This book boils down complex ideas about money into easy to understand information. If knowledge is power, this book will make you superman. Not only does it describe what money is and isn't, but gives verifiable footnotes to help you expand your knowledge base. I wish I would have had this information at a much earlier age. Our elected public officials should read this. If you like money and use money, you need to read this book. A quick read that can easily be digested in one sitting. I'm already re-reading it because it has blown my mind.
This book is a gem! April 8, 2010 W. Wogan (Boulder, CO) This book is an absolute gem. Mr. McKay makes complex economic concepts interesting and understandable, Most importantly, he really illustrates how our current situation puts people at risk in ways most don't comprehend. Along with Richard Maybury's Whatever Happened to Penny Candy?, these two primers are the clearest and most simple books on how macroeconomics and politics affect the value and future of your savings. Can't recommend it enough!
